Cryotherapy: Embrace the Power of Cold
Cryotherapy is done in a chamber (think walk-in freezer with a glass door) where your entire body is exposed to cold temperatures of up to -124 F degrees for 3 to 6 minutes, depending on your goals and preference. Whole body cryotherapy is a very dry cold feeling.
Cryotherapy is much more enjoyable than applying ice packs to your body for 10-15 minutes several times a day.
How does cryotherapy work? The extreme cold activates your nervous system and causes a physiological response. Everyone’s response will be different. However the extreme cold may help reduce pain, swelling, chronic inflammation. Cryotherapy may boost your energy level and mood. We recommend those with chronic pain, inflammation, joint issues, or injury do at least 7 sessions within 14 days to determine if cryotherapy can help reduce your symptoms. You need to repetitively do sessions to boost the endorphins and hormone levels to achieve the results you need.
Once your inflammation, injury, or other symptoms subside you can go into maintenance mode of 2-3 sessions/week depending on your needs. For those looking for general recovery after hard workouts, we recommend once a week or after hard training sessions or the next day to reduce delayed onset muscle soreness.
Accelerated Recovery: Cryotherapy reduces inflammation and muscle soreness, allowing you to recover faster between training sessions and competitions.
Enhanced Performance: With improved blood circulation and reduced muscle fatigue, you’ll be primed to perform at your absolute best.

cold plunge- coming soon
Athlete Recovery Room is excited to introduce Cold Plunge Therapy, a powerful tool in recovery and performance optimization. Stepping into a cold plunge may seem intense, but the benefits are undeniable: it helps reduce inflammation, speeds up muscle recovery, and boosts circulation. The cool temperatures help flush out toxins and promote lymphatic drainage, giving you a fresh start after tough training or long workdays.
What to Expect
In our cold plunge, for the first month of the service we will keep the water chilled to 50°F. In the coming months will bring it down to ideal temp of 42°F. A session can last between 3-10 minutes depending on your comfort and experience level. During the plunge, you’ll feel an initial shock that quickly eases as your body adapts. Our expert team will guide you through breathing techniques and mental focus tips to help you manage the plunge like a pro.
Why Try Cold Plunge Therapy?
